Job Posting: Accounts Payable Specialist (Construction Background)

LHH is partnering with a client in Tempe, AZ, seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a background in the construction industry. This is a contract-to-hire position, offering an exciting opportunity to grow with a reputable company.

Position Details:

• Location: Tempe, AZ
• Pay Range: $25 - $27 per hour
• Schedule: On-site, Monday through Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle accounts payable, including vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
• Perform 3-way matching for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Manage vendor communication, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare month-end AP reports.
• Assist with construction-related billing, including lien waivers and compliance documentation.
• Utilize Sage Intacct (preferred) or similar accounting software for data entry and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in accounts payable, preferably in the construction industry.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, proficiency in MS Excel, and familiarity with AP processes in construction projects.
• Software: Experience with Sage Intacct highly preferred; other ERP systems considered.
• Other: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
