Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Tempe, AZ Employment Type: Full-time, Onsite Pay: $22-25/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Tempe, AZ. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized professional with at least 2+ years of experience in high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with large ERP platforms and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full-Cycle Accounts Payable: Handle all aspects of the accounts payable process, including invoice processing, matching, batching, and coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- High-Volume Processing: Manage a high volume of invoices on a daily basis, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- ERP System Expertise: Utilize a large ERP platform for processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring data integrity and efficient workflow.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounts payable processes are in line with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting: Assist in generating reports related to accounts payable as needed by management.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance and accounting teams to support month-end close activities and other departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in high-volume, full-cycle accounts payable.
- ERP Systems: Proficient in working within a large ERP platform.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies quickly and efficiently.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, but not required.
