LHH is looking for an Human Resources Payroll Specialist!


Does processing payroll for 100+ employees bi-monthly sound thrilling? Do you enjoy auditing tax garnishments, benefits and noticing payroll discrepancies?


Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced company? This client is looking for a Human Resources Payroll specialist excited to work for a large and growing company in Tempe with a few years of experience. The ideal candidate would have payroll knowledge but also a little human resources as well.


Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 annual depending on experience.


Contract-to-hire: Eligible for medical, vision and dental benefits after 60 days of employment


Job duties and responsibilities:


  1. Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook


  2. Recruiting coordination such as screening and job posts


  3. Processing payroll for 100+ employees


  4. Creating and running reports


  5. Issue bonuses; quarterly and annually


  6. Researches and resolves payroll issues and any discrepancies


  7. Onboarding new employees


  8. Familiar with California HR laws and keeping things legally compliant


  9. Interpret policy


  10. Screen and source for production roles


  11. Calculates manual checks


  12. Issuing stop payments


  13. Familiar with accounting systems such as QuickBooks


  14. Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment


  15. Ensures payroll integrity through audit reports and data analysis


  16. Preforms other clerical duties and projects as assigned


  17. Protect confidential payroll information


  18. Follow up on exceptions and missing time entries


  19. Benefits, open enrollment

Requirements:


  1. High school or GED


  2. Associates in Accounting a plus!


  3. At least 5 years of payroll and HR experience


Monday - Friday 8 hour shift between 7am - 5pm; hybrid after months of training
