Reconciliations Accounting Analyst
Location: Tempe, AZ
Salary: $24/hr to $27/hr
Schedule: Hybrid (In-office 3 days a week after training) Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliations Accounting Analyst to join their team in Tempe, AZ. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and a passion for financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of various financial accounts, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner, collaborating with internal departments as needed.
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing schedules and providing support for audits.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline reconciliation procedures and enhance efficiency.
- Maintain documentation of reconciliation procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to provide updates on reconciliation activities and address any issues or concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of working experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
