Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to support financial operations for our client in Tempe, AZ. This position plays a key role in managing financial records, reconciling transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and capable of handling multiple accounting responsibilities with accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage and update financial records, including general ledger accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
- Prepare financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reconcile bank and account statements to verify accuracy.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Conduct periodic audits to maintain financial accuracy and compliance.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to budget planning and forecasting.
- Perform other accounting duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to present financial information effectively.
Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
