Benefits Coordinator-Thousand Oaks
Responsible for administering employee benefits programs within an organization. The coordinator acts as a liaison between employees, insurance providers, and other third-party vendors, ensuring that all benefits are managed efficiently and accurately.
Location: Thousand Oaks
Pay:$23-$25
Responsibilities:
Administering Benefits Programs: Oversee daily benefits administration for all employees, including enrollment, changes, and terminations. This involves processing paperwork, updating records in HR management systems, and ensuring timely communication of benefit information to employees.
Employee Support and Communication: Serve as the first point of contact for employees with benefits-related questions or issues. Provide clear, accurate, and timely information about available plans, coverage details, and claims processes. Facilitate benefits orientations for new hires and conduct informational sessions as needed.
Vendor Relations: Coordinate with insurance carriers, retirement plan administrators, and other benefits providers to resolve employee issues, manage renewals, and gather up-to-date plan information. Evaluate and recommend potential vendors based on cost, coverage, and service quality.
Compliance and Recordkeeping: Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state, and local regulations such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA. Maintain confidential and accurate records of employee benefits in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
Open Enrollment Management: Plan and execute annual benefits open enrollment, including preparing communication materials, conducting employee meetings, and processing changes in coverage. Analyze enrollment data to identify trends or issues and report findings to management.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of prior experience in benefits administration, human resources, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and benefits management platforms is highly desirable
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), HRIS, and benefits administration software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for explaining complex benefits concepts in a clear and empathetic manner
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in all work
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve benefits issues and make recommendations
Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
