Job Title: HR Specialist
Location: Onsite – Tigard, Oregon
Job Type: 6-Month Contract
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time
Compensation: $30–$36/hour, Depending on Experience
Position Overview
LHH Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Specialist to join ourclient's team on a 6-month contract. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in HR operations who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. You’ll play a key role in streamlining and improving core HR processes, with a focus on payroll, benefits, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and clean up payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and inquiries.
- Handle unemployment claims and coordinate with relevant agencies.
- Administer leave of absence programs (FMLA, OFLA, ADA, etc.).
- Support general HR functions such as onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure HR policies and procedures are followed.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in HR operations.
- Experience supporting or processing payroll is required.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelors Degree or other continuing education is preferred.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour
