Job Title: Tier II Desktop Technician
Location: Torrance, CA (100% Onsite)
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8-Hour | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Employment Type: Contract

Overview:

LHH has partnered with our client and are seeking a Tier II Desktop Technician to support desktop hardware and software deployments in a fast-paced enterprise healthcare environment. This role is primarily focused on executing computer replacements, imaging systems, and supporting the rollout of Windows 11. This is s 5 month contract that could extend. No C2C/sponsorship, W2 only!!!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform desk-side support and end-user equipment refreshes.

  • Remove existing workstations and install new Windows 11 machines with accompanying peripherals (keyboard, mouse).

  • Support OS migrations (Windows 10 to Windows 11).

  • Use imaging and deployment tools (MDT, SCCM) to configure devices.

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

  • Document work in ticketing systems and ensure high-quality customer service.

  • Collaborate with IT teams to support larger infrastructure and endpoint initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of desktop support experience, ideally in a large enterprise or healthcare setting.

  • Strong proficiency with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools such as MDT and SCCM.

  • Familiarity with Intune, OneDrive, BitLocker, and remote support tools.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate

  • ITIL Foundation (a plus)
