We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant for one of our excellent clients near High Point. This role will manage the accounts receivable accounting functions for several key customers and manage a portfolio of large accounts. An ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience, general accounting experience, and a bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of general accounting activities, including account reconciliations, month-end closing procedures, assisting with the company's internal audit plan, cost allocation, and assisting in the development and enhancement of all inventory systems. Other general accounting tasks may be assigned by management.
Ensure that all accounting work and deliverables follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Assist in ensuring that all necessary financial reports and disclosures are compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to aid in accounting processes and other company objectives.
Identify ways to develop and implement best practices to improve existing processes and accuracy.
Provide support on ad-hoc requests and special projects as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting, preferably in accounts receivable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
