We are currently seeking applicants for a General Accountant position with a company near High Point. Due to growth, this company is looking for a qualified candidate who can join their accounting team, train under their processes, and help with the success of the company. This role is responsible for all aspects of accounting, primarily focused on general ledger reconciliations and account reconciliations. This is a contract to hire role.
Responsibilities:
Review complex accounts to reconcile and determine discrepancies
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Review AR balance sheets, transactions, aging reports, and work to drive collections
When variances are identified, take a leadership role to meet with appropriate departments
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing necessary duties as needed
Prepare monthly reconciliations of national accounts by verifying information against invoice submissions
Review records of accounts and input entries into proper general ledger accounts.
Other general accounting duties as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field, highly preferred
2-3 years of general accounting experience
Thoroughness/Attention to Detail
Excellent Communication Skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred
