We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Accountant to join our client! This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and general accounting as related to payroll. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to be a part of a collaborative and dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and biweekly payroll for employees across multiple states.

  • Prepare and record journal entries for weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles.

  • Execute month-end close activities, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and implementation of internal controls across various entities.

  • Support ad-hoc analyses and contribute to special projects as needed.

  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support payroll operations.

  • Maintain and audit employee payroll records, including garnishments, benefits, and deductions.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate benefit deductions and reporting.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables/Vlookups)

  • Strong knowledge of payroll, tax regulations, and accounting principles.

  • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.



Pay Details: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour
