LHH has partnered with a company based in Troy, MI. We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join the team. This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity. Manufacturing accounting experience is preferred but not required.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Troy
Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team at a leading manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial accounts.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
