Job Title: Administrative Assistant – Homeless Services (Non-Profit)

We are seeking a passionate and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team in delivering critical services to individuals experiencing homelessness.


Position Summary:

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of our daily activities. You will provide essential administrative and clerical support to ensure our programs and services run efficiently. Your work will directly support the team’s mission to serve the homeless community with compassion and integrity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative support to staff, including scheduling, data entry, document preparation, and filing.

  • Manage communication channels such as phone, email, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and empathy.

  • Assist in maintaining client records and confidential information in compliance with organizational policies.

  • Support staff in organizing meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate documentation.

  • Coordinate supply orders, track inventory, and assist with event or outreach logistics.

  • Handle general office tasks to ensure a well-functioning and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in a non-profit or human services setting.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with diverse populations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and comfort with data entry and digital tools.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and a genuine passion for serving vulnerable communities.

  • Experience working with the homeless population or in a related social service setting is strongly preferred.
