LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Sr. Benefits Specialist to join our clients’ Human Resources team in Vernon Hills. This role is pivotal in enhancing employee well-being through effective benefits administration, vendor management, and wellness program development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison with third-party benefit providers (e.g., health insurance, wellness programs, childcare, fitness centers).
  • Benefits Administration: Oversee enrollment processes, troubleshoot employee concerns, and ensure accurate data handling.
  • Workers’ Compensation: Manage claims and collaborate with legal and safety teams to ensure compliance and resolution.
  • Program Development: Design and improve benefits and wellness initiatives aligned with company culture and employee needs.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support strategic decisions.
  • Employee Consultation: Provide expert guidance on plan features, eligibility, premiums, and enrollment procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state benefits regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Information:
  • Pay: $23-30/hr depending on experience.
  • Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.


Pay Details: $23.00 to $30.00 per hour
