LHH is partnering with a well-established company in Vernon Hills, IL to hire a Staff Accountant. This is a direct hire opportunity ideal for candidates with 2+ years of accounting experience across any industry. The role offers a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite) and the chance to join a collaborative, growth-oriented team.

Position Title: Staff Accountant
Salary: $65-$75k
Location: Deerfield, IL
Worksite Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations
Manage invoice input, credit card allocations, and business expenses
Analyze balance sheet accounts and provide supporting schedules
Reconcile AP invoices and batches
Record fee revenue and prepare deposits
Maintain the general ledger and support financial reporting
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and external audits
Prepare internal financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience
Experience with Great Plains or similar ERP preferred
Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
Self-motivated, independent, and goal-oriented
