LHH is partnering with a well-established company in Vernon Hills, IL to hire a Staff Accountant. This is a direct hire opportunity ideal for candidates with 2+ years of accounting experience across any industry. The role offers a hybrid schedule (4 days onsite) and the chance to join a collaborative, growth-oriented team.

Details:
Position Title: Staff Accountant
Salary: $65-$75k
Location: Deerfield, IL
Worksite Type: Hybrid (4 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare journal entries and perform account reconciliations
  • Manage invoice input, credit card allocations, and business expenses
  • Analyze balance sheet accounts and provide supporting schedules
  • Reconcile AP invoices and batches
  • Record fee revenue and prepare deposits
  • Maintain the general ledger and support financial reporting
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and external audits
  • Prepare internal financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Great Plains or similar ERP preferred
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical mindset
  • Self-motivated, independent, and goal-oriented
