LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a trusted manufacturer in the Voorhees, NJ area to hire a Senior Cost Accountant. This role is perfect for someone with strong cost analysis and manufacturing accounting experience who enjoys collaborating with operations teams and driving process improvements.

Job Title: Senior Cost Accountant
Location: Voorhees, NJ (Hybrid)
Compensation Range: $90,000–$110,000
Reports To: Director of Cost Accounting

Summary:

The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for managing cost and inventory accounting functions for our manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting aligned with US GAAP. This role supports financial decision-making through analysis, reporting, and business partnership across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly close processes including journal entries, inventory reviews, and reconciliations

• Analyze cost variances and review manufacturing work orders; propose updates to BOMs as needed

• Maintain standard cost structures and assist in year-end financial statement audits

• Coordinate with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting with clear variance commentary

• Supervise and mentor a Plant Accountant; provide training and performance feedback

• Collaborate with operations and clerical staff on PO accuracy, invoice review, and internal controls

• Support inventory counts, external audits, and ad hoc financial projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Accounting (CPA/CMA preferred)

• 3–5 years of cost accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing

• ERP and Excel proficiency required; QAD experience a plus

• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and support cross-functional collaboration
