LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company located in Wall, NJ. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting/Finance Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for current accounting or finance students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the field. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to customer and vendor interactions, invoice verification, and financial reporting.
Job Title: Entry-Level Accounting/Finance Assistant
Location: Wall, NJ 07719
Duration: 6-9 months
Job Type: Part-Time, Hybrid ( Training period will be fully onsite)
Compensation: $20-$23/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Contact: Track down outstanding payments and email customers. Manage a portfolio of 40 customers. Vendor Contact: Verify invoices and obtain approval for payment. Invoice Verification: Verify invoices for payment, cut checks through QuickBooks, and collate deposits to bring to the bank. Amex Transactions: Compile reports of Amex transactions, post them to QuickBooks, and track down missing receipts. Monthly Charges: Generate monthly charges in Autotask, update monthly billings and booking worksheets in Excel, transmit charges from Autotask to QuickBooks, verify billings in QuickBooks, and submit them to customers. Contract Management: Track contract periods in Autotask, process renewals, and update contract terms and parameters. Payroll Processing: Process payroll totals in a worksheet, update the RUN ADP portal, and process payments to employees. General Ledger Work: Assist with general ledger work if aptitude is demonstrated.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accounting or finance program. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Experience with Autotask and RUN ADP is a plus.
