Position: Hybrid Associate Coordinator - Maps & Records Department: GIS/Mapping & Records Location: Hybrid - Waltham, MA Employment Type: Full-Time, Standard Business Hours


Work Type: 2 - 4 month contract with possibility to extend or convert!


About the Position:

We are seeking an Associate Coordinator to join our Maps & Records team. In this role, you will assist the Mapping Supervisor in managing the workflow and processes of our GIS/Maps & Records personnel. Your primary focus will be on the collection and input of mapping data into the company's GIS Applications, ensuring safety and the achievement of Line of Sight goals. This position is governed by Pipeline Material Handling Safety Act (PMHSA) regulations.


Qualifications/Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Geographic Information Systems, or a related field, and 1+ year of related experience OR a Bachelor’s degree and a GIS certificate (Required).


  • 1+ year of experience working in a team environment.


  • 1+ year of experience in data analysis (Required).


  • Valid driver’s license (Required).


Job Purpose:

The Associate Coordinator - Maps & Records supports the maps and records management team by overseeing mapping personnel involved in data collection and input into our geographic information system (GIS) applications. Your work will contribute to maintaining safety standards and achieving line of sight goals.


Key Accountabilities:



  • Review, approve, and post maps and records projects.


  • Update and maintain various reports, as well as manage the backlog databases daily within the company’s GIS applications.


  • Ensure the timely delivery of information to relevant stakeholders.


  • Assist in training, monitoring, and developing personnel within the mapping department.


  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Maps & Records team.


  • Occasionally transport records and/or equipment between offices as needed.
