Job Summary:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Office Manager for a contract-to-hire position with a confidential client. This role involves overseeing all departmental activities within the Medical Staff Office to ensure the quality and efficiency of credentialing and privileging processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to enhance practitioner quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and manage the Medical Staff Coordinator team, including work allocation, training, and performance evaluation. Implement personnel actions and motivate the team to achieve peak productivity.

  • Credentialing Oversight: Provide guidance to Credentialing Staff to ensure timelines and data accuracy are met. Administer the credentialing process in compliance with Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS standards, and relevant laws and policies.

  • Policy Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Credentials Manual, and other relevant policies. Recommend and implement changes as needed.

  • Committee Coordination: Collaborate with the Medical Staff Services Director and Senior Medical Staff Leadership in the Credentials, Health, and Bylaws Committee.

  • Database Management: Oversee the credentialing database, ensuring critical data is monitored for analysis and report generation.

  • Performance Improvement: Participate in departmental performance improvement and core process activities.

  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the annual operating budget for the unit.

  • Liaison Role: Serve as the primary credentials contact for internal and external groups, fostering positive working relationships.

  • Project Leadership: Lead special projects and other credentialing-related activities.

  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Medical Staff Services to develop and implement departmental priorities and goals to enhance customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Required:

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher education.

    • Minimum of 3 years in the medical services field.

    • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) within three years of hire.

    • Proficiency in Credentialing software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Preferred:

    • Minimum of 3 years of management experience.

    • Minimum of 5 years in the medical services field.
