Job Title: Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager (no reports)
Location: Waukesha, WI (Remote work available 1 day per week)
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: Mid-level (3+ years of experience required)
Job Description: As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a key role in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely one day per week, providing a balanced work-life experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial processes.
Support internal and external audits.
Mentor and develop junior accounting staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a growing company.
Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
