Accounting Clerk

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our client’s finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $21 and $24/hr.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine clerical accounting duties including the processing of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
  • Conduct daily transaction audits and report any discrepancies.
  • Assist with budget preparation and monthly financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Additional duties requested by management.

Qualifications
  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk.
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
  • Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
  • Data entry and word processing skills.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $24.00 per hour
