About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is 100% onsite and plays a critical part in supporting our construction projects through accurate financial tracking, reporting, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction accounting and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle project accounting for multiple construction projects
• Prepare and analyze job cost reports, budgets, and forecasts
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and billing
• Monitor contract compliance, change orders, and lien releases
• Process subcontractor and vendor invoices in accordance with project budgets
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
• Maintain documentation for audits and internal controls
• Support the finance team with ad hoc reporting and analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and GAAP
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
