Payroll Specialist

LHH Recruitment Solutions is hiring a Payroll Specialist in Wheeling, IL for a strong manufacturing firm. This role is temp to hire and will be onsite in their Wheeling, IL office.

Temp to hire

Temp Pay: $25-30/hour (DOE)

Salary: $65-70K (DOE)

Duration: 3-6 months

Worksite Location: 100% Onsite in Wheeling, IL

Duties:

Process payroll on a biweekly and monthly basis

Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, hour laws and best practices

Collaborate with the HR department to verify that employee benefits and payroll are properly processed

Preparing and maintaining accurate records and reports of payroll transactions

Handling and resolving payroll discrepancies and irregularities

Developing, managing, and maintaining comprehensive payroll records

Auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards

Handling changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles as it pertains to payroll management

Timely preparation of payroll and other duties as assigned
