Building Maintenance Technician

Lee Hecht Harrison Recruitment Solutions (LHH) is partnering with a leading building services company to fill their open Building Maintenance Technician job in Wilton, CT. To qualify, you must have at least 5 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role. This is a DIRECT HIRE job opportunity where you will earn between $24.00 and $31.00 per hour. Responsibilities:

• Performing preventative maintenance such as measuring wear, replacement of expendables (belts, hoses, fluids, filters, etc.) and evaluation speeds, pressures, vacuum, or vibration


• Documenting preventative maintenance activities in the database


• Completing assigned work orders


• Completing repairs on all assigned HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other equipment


• Completing general building repairs such as painting walls, doors, floors, etc.


• Fixing plumbing leaks and stoppages, repairing or replacing sinks, piping, valves, drains, etc.


• Repairing and maintaining controls, lighting, and electrical distribution systems


• Replacing lighting components, ceiling tiles, and grid


• Communicating with customers and keeping them up to date on statuses of work orders, projected completion dates, etc.


• Diagnosing malfunctioning equipment such as transformers, motors, motor starters, etc.


• Maintaining building and property lighting and signs


• Preventative maintenance on dock equipment such as overhead doors, dock levelers, dock locks, and seals


• Maintaining a safe work area and following all safety processes and procedures


• All other tasks as required

  Qualifications:



• At least five years of recent, relevant experience in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and/or carpentry


• Hourly rate between $24.00 and $31.00


• Valid driver’s license


• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions operating and maintenance instructions, and memos. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on-one and small group situations of customers, clients and other employees of the organization

  Schedule:



• Monday - Friday


• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

  Compensation:



• Hourly rate between $24.00 and $31.00
