We are seeking applicants for a Junior Accountant position with a company in Winston-Salem. This role is responsible for assisting the accounting team with all aspects of accounting duties including the General Ledger, month-end and year-end closings and reconciliations. Qualified candidates will have a degree in accounting with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end closing, including month-end reports, reconciliations

• Maintain intercompany GL accounts and worksheets – reconciling detail monthly

• Process all non-sales bank transactions

• Weekly audit of Wells Fargo transactions/funds and monthly reconciliation of applications

• Prepare and file monthly multi-state sales tax reports

• Reconcile bank statements

• Post daily sales, payments, journal entries and correcting entries as necessary

• Review and request refund checks weekly

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field

• 2-3 yeas of accounting experience

• ERP System experience preferred

• Retail experience highly preferred
