Job Title: Accounting Manager
Location: Itasca, IL (On-site)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a confidential client in the Itasca, IL area. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in the financial leadership of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with experience managing a team and overseeing various financial functions. This role offers significant growth potential within the organization.

• Assist in the preparation of the General Ledger and P&L statements

• Manage Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), and Payroll

• Oversee production of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and revenue and expense variance analysis

• Reconcile accruals to cash accounting statements

• Generate and maintain P&L’s for additional business units and department level P&L’s

• Manage a staff of 5

• Lead strategic finance initiatives to drive long-term financial planning and analysis

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities and provide financial insights to support decision-making

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

• CPA required

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong career trajectory

• Experience managing staff

• Familiarity with SAP

• Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups, pivot tables, and macros

• Industry experience in Logistics or a European company background is a plus
