Office Administrator

The Office Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the office, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment. This role involves managing administrative staff, coordinating office activities, maintaining office equipment and supplies, and supporting senior management with various administrative tasks. The Office Administrator plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring operational efficiency. This is a great opportunity located near Wood Dale, IL.

Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the office, ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to ensure availability.
Provide administrative support to senior management, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as needed.
Organize and maintain office filing systems, both physical and digital.
Supervise and support administrative staff, including receptionists, administrative assistants, and other office personnel.
Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide training and development opportunities.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Manage relationships with office vendors and service providers, ensuring quality service and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs of office equipment and facilities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Assist in the preparation and management of the office budget.
Monitor office expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Process invoices and manage expense reports.
Ensure the office complies with health and safety regulations.
Implement and maintain office policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety and compliance checks.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in office management or administrative roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Job Details:
  • Contract to Hire
  • Monday- Friday
  • Pay is $27-$37 an hour, depending on experience
