Supervisor of Accounting

If you have a strong background in real estate accounting, you are going to want to hear about this position! One of Long Island’s most well-known and stable companies is looking for an experienced Supervisor to oversee a staff of 2. This is a great opportunity to join a corporation that can and will offer you professional growth and development. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary in the range of $100,000 to $115,000 plus bonus, profit share plan and generous 401k match. It is a hybrid work schedule, in office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities include:

• Working closely with the Corporate Accounting Team

• Oversight of daily accounting activities

• Supervise and review the work of junior staff

• Heavy involvement in monthly, quarterly and annual closes

• Working with accounting and finance leaders, management and staff to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting plus at least 5 years of accounting experience

• Public accounting background is preferred, a CPA license is a plus

• Prior experience in real estate accounting/auditing is required

• Supervisory experience, good leader, able to motivate both direct and indirect reports

• Systems background with MRI or Yardi
