Accounts Receivable Specialist

LHH is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client in Woodland Hills! As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be crucial in managing the billing and receivables process. Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate and send out invoices, follow up on, collect and allocate payments.
  • Carry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies and issues.
  • Maintain accounts receivable customer files and records.
  • Process adjustments, develop a recovery system, and initiate collection efforts.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail, or personally to address queries and facilitate payment.
  • Assist with month-end closing of the accounts receivable ledger.
  • Review AR aging to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and present reports detailing accounts receivable status to the finance department.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
  • Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
