This is a great opportunity to join a global asset management company as an Investment Risk Manager or Director. In this role, you will support the development and oversight of risk frameworks across a broad range of investment strategies and fund types. Based in Luxembourg, you will be involved in both investment and non-financial risk monitoring, engaging closely with senior management, risk committees, and global investment teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and enhancement of investment and operational risk frameworks in accordance with local and group-wide policies.
• Monitor key risk areas, including fund performance, liquidity, counterparty exposure, and sustainability risks, using in-house and external systems.
• Provide insightful analysis and reporting to local senior management and Boards, including participation in risk committees and forums.
• Collaborate with first line teams to support risk management processes such as Risk and Control Self-Assessments and incident management.
• Liaise with oversight functions including Compliance and Audit to ensure risk alignment and avoid duplicated efforts.
• Act as a key contact for regulatory risk matters and provide clear, non-technical explanations of risk to stakeholders.
• Represent the company in external working groups and industry forums to ensure awareness of evolving regulatory expectations.
• Contribute to cross-regional risk initiatives and support knowledge sharing within the global risk team.

Profile

• Degree educated with over 10 years of experience in Risk Management within a similar structure (Asset Manager, AIFM, Financial Services)
• Previous experience in leadership roles with excellent communication skills
• Data centric with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Fluent in English, additional languages being a plus
