Responsibilities
The International Account Manager is the bridge between a company and clients. She/He fosters client relationships, understand their needs, and work strategically to provide solutions that drive mutual growth and profitability. She/He is the vital 'people persons' in the boardroom, ensuring clients feel heard, valued, and well-served.
Account Manager role objectives
• Drive customer satisfaction and retention: By building strong relationships, understanding client needs, and exceeding expectations.
• Expand account growth: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities, propose solutions that add value, and contribute to increased revenue generation.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, keep internal stakeholders informed, and foster a collaborative environment to address client needs efficiently.
• Monitor and optimize account performance: Track key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance client success.
• Stay informed of industry trends: Continuously learn about market developments, competitor offerings, and customer best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and client solutions are up-to-date.
Account Manager responsibilities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned clients
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and challenges
• Identify and propose solutions that meet client requirements
• Negotiate and close contracts
• Oversee account performance and manage client expectations
• Developing New Customers
• Resolve commercial client issues and support/facilitate other functions complaints effectively (e.g. quality, delivery, payment);
• Communicate client feedback and recommendations to internal teams
• Generate reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Develop a deep understanding of the client’s market, industry trends, and competition
• Responsible to define Budget, Forecast and regular outlook for the responsible Accounts
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings
Your Profile
Account Manager qualifications and skills• Proven track record as a Technical Sales Manager, Export Manager, Key Account or Sales Engineer in an Industrial enviroment
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Excellent customer service orientation
• Proven sales and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in CRM (if available), analytic software and other relevant tools
• Knowledge of the company's products and services
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Account Manager work relationships
• Collaborates closely with clients
• Works with internal teams such as sales, marketing, customer service, technical sales, quality and logistics
• Interacts with senior management to discuss account strategies and performance
